Origin and recognition

Kofu started as a social identity idea: help people find the different profiles and handles tied to a person, while still letting them control which information remained public and which required approval.

Kofu won first prize in the Leisure and Personal Management category at the mSchools App Awards.

How it evolved

The build quality improved through several iterations. Early versions used App Inventor, then the project was translated into Java for Android Studio to gain more control over both functionality and design.

There were plans for broader platform support later on, plus a heavier push on video storytelling and project promotion, but the team eventually dispersed into different schools and the project was discontinued.
