I’d been using TV Time since around 2013. Over the years, it became a record of the shows I followed, the episodes I stayed up for, and the stories I loved.
When the announcement came that it was closing, I was genuinely sad. I wanted a replacement that I’d enjoy using every day, and somewhere for that watch history to live on.
So I started building Chronicle.
It began with the things I missed: a clear watchlist, the next episode, and a place to talk about what I’d just watched. Then my growing interest in open source took it further, connecting it to the tools I use for my own media library.

Open source changed how I think about the software I use. I wanted Chronicle to work with the tools people already love, including the ones they host themselves.
Optional connections. A complete tracker on its own.
