Overview

Built as a fourth-year university project around video streaming and cross-platform delivery. The system supported live streaming through OBS, real-time viewing on the client app, and archived playback.

The project combined Flutter for the application layer with an nginx server, FFmpeg video tooling, Dockerized services, Firebase, and AWS EC2 deployment.

Streaming workflow

DCoding was designed to handle incoming streams from tools such as OBS, relay them through the server layer, and expose both live viewing and archived playback from the same application surface.

Inside the app, users could browse active channels, revisit saved material, search for specific streams or creators, and access the information required to start broadcasting themselves.

Why it mattered

The work combined FFmpeg stream processing, server deployment, and a cross-platform client.

The client supported stream management, live viewing, and archived playback.
